Ben has been at the forefront of the Electrical industry since completing his Electrical apprenticeship 17 years ago. With a thirst for knowledge and a passion for doing things "the right way", he quickly found that home automation was something he found challenging and rewarding. The ever changing aspect of Home Automation means that Ben gets to continuously work with new and exciting products, while always thinking about how these product will contribute to a clients existing equipment base. For Ben, automation isn't about automation for the sake of it; automation must present a quantifiable benefit to the user. Whether the benefits are energy saving or quality of life, Ben and his team strive to ensure that every solution they design is a simple-to-use work of art.
To  Whom It May Concern Ben Clay was responsible for the setting up of our Smart Home System which included a WiFi network, business connections to the home office and a  TV and audio system which were all integrated through the entire house. Ben was exceptional to work with from start to finish. With his thorough knowledge of "everything technical ", coupled with a friendly yet professional demeanor, he was able to get us through the process with very little stress indeed. I was amazed given the complexities of the job that Ben was able to get everything in sync the first time. Ben went above and beyond what was necessary in order to make us feel confident and at ease with a system we had never experienced before. Once the job was completed Ben was always at hand to help with any queries we had regarding the network. Unlike many others we encountered during the renovation, Ben would always pick up or return our calls immediately if there was anything we needed explained. On more than one occasion Ben would go out of his way to "drop in" if we needed his help. I would thoroughly recommend Ben for any IT or AV jobs whether small or large and we intend to use him again on our next project. Regards

Ben Clay, through his company Autm8, undertook the installation of a number of systems throughout our Milsons Point apartment in 2018- 2019. He installed a complete apartment control system, our televisions (both Bang & Olufsen and Sony); in addition, he installed a theatre surround sound plus an audio system throughout our apartment. Sometime later, we installed thermal blinds and controls, outdoor fans and heaters along the length of our balcony. All of these works were undertaken by Ben in a pleasant and competent manner and, even with the complexity of the system, have all worked well.   Ben is a highly competent technician and an easy man to work with and understand. I have found his installation skills, his after sales service and his attitude to work exemplary. “At PSR, we develop interactive e-learning programs for the international oil industry using 3D models and animations to create a virtual learning environment. With offices in Sydney, the UK and Croatia, we are totally dependent on the internet. We recently moved premises and, despite rigorously following Telstra changeover procedures, discovered that we did not have telephone or ADSL service. We got nowhere with Telstra who kept insisting that we did. After two days with no service we called in Autm8 Solutions who identified the cause of the problem as a crossed pair in the pit outside the premises. So the live line that Telstra were insisting we had was actually connected to the premises next door. Autm8 Solutions spent several painful hours contacting Telstra Technical Support who eventually admitted that the fault was their responsibility and reluctantly scheduled a visit by a technician to rectify the problem. After 16 days with no service, Autm8 Solutions then installed our internet system and we managed to resume normal operations. Frankly, without the initiative and sheer determination of Autm8 Solutions, I doubt that we would ever have got this problem resolved and I have no hesitation in confidently recommending their services. Autm8 were one of 3 companies I had quote to do our garden lighting and exterior power. I elected to go with them not because they were the cheapest quote but because they instilled confidence in what they were going to do and picked up on several important issues that the others had neglected to. Ben was polite, approachable and professional in all aspects of the quotation and explained in depth exactly why he had specified each part of the equipment for the job. The work was carried out within the time suggested  and he removed all of the packaging and cleaned up after the job which was fantastic! The end result way exceeded my expectations and we couldn’t be more delighted.
